Article number
Many factories identify interchangeable components with an article number. In our case it is a good pointer to a lot of information that we cannot or do not want to include in the database.
Part ID
For unique individuals, the part ID permits complete part follow up. This is usually intended primarily for quality control, but we can take advantage of this information.
