Case type

The case type relates mainly to the origin of the information. This parameter has several purposes

It tells something about the reliability of the case as a whole
It allows putting together information from widely different origins in the same database, without loosing track of the character of the information
It allows and even encourages comparison of information from different sources
Last but not least, it is an easy way of comparing simulation cases with practical experience, mainly in order to trim simulations and simulation programs, but even to check the response of the CBR system
